And thanks to these supporters of the Bleeding era...
we didn't pay them either.

Rockhard
(Germany '96)

"Psychotic strike for the 4th time!  What has changed?  Well, the well known qualities of the band come to the point even more efficiently than in the past.   This can be seen in the fact that none of the 11 songs are very long,  in fact, only 2 of them are longer than 4 minutes, but nevertheless, all of the songs contain more playing tricks , ideas and harmonies than other bands compose during their whole careers!
Another eminent feature is the band's particular feeling for stunning melodies is even stronger than it used to be and reaches an absolute peak!!
Though the sound is not 'prog' anymore, this band continues to range among the most innovative and original bands that exist on this planet.

Slamm
(USA '96)

"On their last release, "Mosquito", this hard-as-nails San Diego quintet created a swirling noise-mass that incorporated many elements, embellishing it's predominately slow, evil churn with sharp driving fretwork, touches of industrial flair, teeth-rattling bass rhythms, and even a touch of reggae backbeat thrown in.
Although PW's basically brutal sound has evolved with 'Bleeding', displaying even more sophistication, complexity, and intrigue, it's piercing brute force hasn't diminished one iota.
PW hasn't lost their affinity for the epic pop excursion though.  As evidence, they give us 'Drift', perhaps one of the best Kansas songs that Kansas never wrote!

                                         - John Colling

Revolt In Style
(USA '96)

The Waltz are back with their newest release, 'Bleeding', definitely their strongest and cleanest to date.  If you're into great rock hero music (Queensryche, Iron Maiden, etc.) you should add Psychotic Waltzz to your collection.
Hailing from San Diego, they've had a great deal of success on the European metal scene, touring almost every fall.
With haunting vocals and tight clear music, they are going to have a following anywhere they play.  After you hear this you'll want to hear more, but alas, since they'll be out of the country till near the end of October, we'll all have to wait.  Grade A.

Heavy Oder Was?
(Germany '96)

" Celestial, incredible, Godlike, those 11 stirring bewitching, in their poetic denseness almost timeless sound paintings that, without any trace of doubts or earthly fallibility, unite multidimensional hypnotic space riffs, unknown dream melodies, and acoustic soul-massages that catapult you straight to cloud 7, on one little, thin silver disc.
'Bleeding' is rounded off with a congenial booklet that puts everything else in the shade and makes this 4th PW output one of the most precious albums in the history of mankind."

                                      - Michael Renson

Aardschok
(Netherlands '96)

Fans of Psychotic Waltz can run straight to their local cd shop to add the new album to their PW collection.  For those who haven't heard of this obstinate quintet from California, 'Bleeding' makes a positive 1st impression.
Under the leadership of Buddy Lackey, the Ian Anderson of the 90's, Psychotic Waltz lead you again through a colorful musical landscape in which excellent guitar playing, hypnotic singing, and distinguished technical drum parts are the most important tasty details.
Another important step forward concerns the production.  The recording of the music was done by Scott Burns, while guitarist Dan Rock did a very good job on the final mix.  The most accessible album of the progressive heroes, PW lies from now on in every CD shop!
